
TPA provides numerous opportunities for students to engage in intellectual pursuits through the academic programs offered during the regular school day, extended school, and extracurricular activities.
CORE SUBJECTS
CORE SUBJECTS
Our school ensures that all students receive a strong foundation in the core subjects of Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts (ELA), and Social Studies. This comprehensive education equips students with essential knowledge and skills, preparing them for academic success.
Math
Elementary classes will use a Florida-approved core curriculum that is a grade level above. (e.g., 3rd grade students will utilize a 4th grade textbook). The core curriculum is supported by online tools such as IXL, Khan Academy, Beast Academy, and AOPS.
All 6th grade students take pre-Algebra, and all 7th grade students take Algebra I Honors, a high school course. Initially, 8th grade students will either take Algebra I or Geometry.
Grade 9 students are placed in Geometry or Algebra II based on their previous academic history. Students will take the subsequent courses in future years.
Competition Math courses and various math teams and clubs will be available for enrichment. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their skills through various math competitions such as Mathleague, Math Kangaroo, FAMAT, MathCounts, AMC 8, AMC10/12, and AIME.
Science
All classes will use a Florida-approved core curriculum. Grade 8 students will take either Biology I Honors or Chemistry I Honors. The core curriculum is supported by online tools such as IXL and Study Island. Students will be able to enrich their science experience by participating in science competitions such as Science Fair, Science Olympiad, HOSA, and SECME.
ELA
All classes will use a Florida-approved core curriculum that is a grade level above. (e.g., 3rd grade students will utilize a 4th grade textbook). The core curriculum is supported by online tools such as IXL and Khan Academy. Debate and Creative Writing clubs will be available for additional enrichment.
Social Studies
All classes will use a Florida-approved core curriculum. The core curriculum is supported by online tools such as IXL and Study Island. Our students will be able to participate and excel in various social studies programs including Model UN, Civics, Debate, and We the People.

TPA will offer several Honors-level high school courses to middle school students, as well as College Board Advanced Placement (AP) courses to high school students, allowing them to engage in college-level studies and potentially earn college credit.
TPA students will be able to take at least 10 AP courses prior to graduation and better prepare themselves for college and beyond. A structured approach will ensure that students receive a comprehensive and rigorous education, preparing them for success in higher education and STEM-related careers.
